Father Wong and the sleeping-bags
News (October 30, 2002)
To all die-hards (and those who consider to become)
We are experiencing pleasant anticipation of the
»die-hards-tour« across europe. Here are the latest news:
Before the opening milonga in Bremen starts, you have
the opportunity to meet everyone at a dinner wich is offered
by the innkeeper of »Tritonia« for 12,50 euro (optional).
If you want to take part, please register including your
preference for vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. We will
dine at 8 PM and then start the milonga at 9 PM.
Due to an error at our bank we disclosed a wrong account-number
in our first announcement, so please check your payments.
The correct bank account and sorting code is:
Mark von Rahden
Account-Nr: 1036 9114
Sparkasse Bremen
BLZ 290 501 01
To give you the chance of making contacts with each other
for car-sharing or related things (sleeping-bag-compatibility?),
we would like to exchange the e-mail-addresses of all
definitely checked in (!) participants. Before this, we
need your explicit OK until this weekend to do so.
Otherwise we will not forward any addresses.
Luckily we could improve our Transnoche in Berlin:
We will all stay at the »tangoloft« of Henning Klose.
Those who aren't fed up with Tango until then can have
a last couple of dances in the morning...
Directions to the »Tritonia« in Bremen:
If you come with the train, use the tram-line 4 or 6 to
the stop »Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke«. You are now on the
Weser-bridge; turn left into the »St.-Pauli-Deich« and
walk a little until you reach the corner of the
»Leinestrasse«. The Tritonia is in the house you are facing.
By car, cross the river Weser at »Wilhelm-Kaisen-Brücke«,
after 450 meters turn left into the »Buntentorsteinweg«,
then take the next road to the left (»Osterstraße«) and finally
the next turn right into the Leinestraße. Tritonia is at
the end of this street on the right side.
If you arrive from the other direction, drive through
»Friedrich-Ebert-Straße« until you reach the
»Buntentorsteinweg«, from there continue as written above.
There aren't many parking-lots around there!
with many greetings,
Mercedes, Matthias and Mark
P.S.
Father Wong of the Augustinian Monastery in Prague justly
reminded us of bringing our sleeping-bags and air mattresses.
We'd additionally like to remind you of bringing towels, mobile
make-up-tables and vanity cases. Swimsuits are also recommended
as we will stay in a wellness-establishment at least once
for recreation purposes.

Die-hards on the road
News (October 16, 2002)
The Die-hards will definitively be on the road!
There are enough registrations, at the worst we
would leave around a dozen seats unoccupied.
Fortunately the gender-ratio is balanced. Up to now
die-hards from Amsterdam, Berlin, Bremen, Bologna,
Erfurt, Heraklion, Gumpoldskirchen, Halle, Kassel,
Leipzig, Munich, Oldenburg, Rostock, Schwegenheim,
Warsaw and Wendeburg will participate.
In Amsterdam we will all sleep in the house of a
friend, but the hottest transnoche of all will be in
the Augustinian monastery St. Tomas in Prague.
Nobody needs to convert for this reason, but the
friars put themselves out for the local flood-aid.
They will transfer the complete amount of money
for the overnight stay as donation for the flood-victims.
Feel free to donate as much as you like directly
to the monastery.
Please deposit your payments for the share in the costs
of the die-hards-tour to our account (Mark von Rahden, Account
1036 9114 at "Sparkasse in Bremen", BLZ 290 501 01)
until October 27th 2002.
Two milongas have changed, check the up-to-date tourplan
with all addresses and the timetable.
Our bus can stop around Göttingen, Kassel or Hannover
on it's way to Bremen, on the way back also near Hamburg.
We would like to thank all local milonga-hosts in advance,
without their help this journey wouldn't have been possible.
Several people declared us as completely mad, we really
don't understand why.
Greetings from
Mercedes, Matthias and Mark
